Food Justice Markets

A growing number of Memphians have established urban community gardens and markets to grow and sell produce. These are usually located in areas of the city considered “food deserts”, where access to locally grown and affordable produce are absent and most needed.  You might think of these as Food Justice Markets, as they see healthy local food as correcting an injustice.

We share here the list of those gardens and markets for F/friends who wish to support them either through buying food to support the urban growers or to volunteer in their gardens.
