Southern Appalachian Yearly Meeting and Association (SAYMA) is the regional association meetings of the Religious Society of Friends of which Memphis Friends Meeting is a part.

Founded in 1900, Friends General Conference is an association of local and regional Quaker organizations primarily in the United States and Canada. FGC is a volunteer-led association. Our focus areas and related projects are determined by volunteers representing our affiliates and consistent with FGC’s organizational Minute of Purpose and Vision Statement. What was once an association of seven yearly meetings holding a biennial “general conference” is now a coalition of sixteen yearly meetings and twelve directly affiliated monthly meetings.

Founded in 1917, the American Friends Service Committee (AFSC) is a Quaker organization that promotes lasting peace with justice, as a practical expression of faith in action. The Friends Committee on National Legislation lobbies Congress and the administration to advance peace, justice, opportunity, and environmental stewardship. Founded in 1943 by members of the Religious Society of Friends (Quakers), FCNL fields an expert team of lobbyists on Capitol Hill and works with a grassroots network of tens of thousands of people across the country to advance policies and priorities established by our governing General Committee. FCNL is a nonpartisan organization that seeks to live our values of integrity, simplicity, and peace as we build relationships across political divides to move policies forward.

Quaker Earthcare Witness (QEW) is a network of Friends (Quakers) in North America working on Earthcare concerns. We work to inspire Spirit-led action toward ecological sustainability and environmental justice.
QEW has grown out of a strong leading among Friends that our future depends on a spiritual transformation in our relationships with each other and the natural world. For over 30 years, we have helped Friends integrate Earthcare into their daily lives.
As our communities are being impacted more and more by the climate crisis, we feel an urgent leading to share our witness.

Friends Peace Teams is a Spirit-led organization working around the world to develop long-term relationships with communities in conflict to create programs for peacebuilding, healing, and reconciliation. FPT’s Initiatives build on extensive Quaker experience combining practical and spiritual aspects of conflict resolution.
